About Amaja

Amaja Oilfield Limited (Amaja), is an independent integrated oilfield service company with a range of oilfield expertise. Our workforce represents over 40 year’s of oil & gas expertise. Our technologies and services, meticulous planning, and no-nonsense approach to risk avoidance, continuously aid in reducing costs, HSE risks and maximizes ultimate reservoir recovery for our clients.

Our flagship services include: Machining and Welding, Tubular and Marine Services, Engineering, Slickline & Completions, Tool Rentals, and Drilling & Logistical Support. We operate a full-time ‘Oilfield Training Centre’ (OTC), and a state-of-the-art API and ISO accredited ‘Oilfield Machine Shop’ (OMS), providing a range of integrated solutions to our clients.

Amaja was founded in 2008 following a series of crude oil and gas discoveries in the Gulf of Guinea. We are the first 100% locally owned oilfield service company with its product and service capabilities in Ghana. We have since become the leading provider of oilfield products and services, rivalling local and international competition with proven and reliable service quality.

We have demonstrated a reputation for delivering expert customer first and solution-oriented services, and make continuous efforts in building stronger international presence and partnerships to expand our product and service portfolio.

We are fully compliant with all local and international standards that may affect the way we do business, including but not limited to the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and the U.K. Anti-Bribery Act.

All employees are required to undergo mandatory training in these areas and consequently to adhere to these principles in their daily work commitments.

The Amaja ‘Oilfield Machine Shop’ (OMS) is located at our facilities in Takoradi. OMS manufactures threads under internationally recognized standards and proprietary Premium Connections specifications for oil and gas applications in; Casing, Tubing, Line Pipe, Heavy Weight Drill Pipe, Drill Collars, Stabilizers, Subs, Hangers and Accessories.

OMS has been certified by ISO under certificate number: GH12/2027; and API under licenses: 5CT 1419, and 7-1 0989, with capabilities for premium connections and certification for Tenaris Hydril, NOV Grant Prideco and Baker Hughes T2 connections.
